How to use trim lines to cut paper printable to exact size.
I know not everyone is familiar with cut/trim lines that show up on their printables. These are the 4 lines on the outer edge are there to guide exactly where to cut to create your pages. Here are simple instructions on how they work and how to utilize them the correct way.
The trick is to not cut all the way across the paper to trim off the entire edge. When you line up the ruler between two lines, only cut to the center of each of those lines. You’ll repeat this with all 4 sides. Otherwise, if you cut all the way, you will end up losing the extra trim guide lines in that allow you to make your straight lines.
Here is a close-up to show that when cutting it isn’t going all the way to the top or bottom of a page. Once all 4 sides are done this way the center will easily be freed and the edging can then be discarded. That’s it! This can also be done with a cutter as well just make sure again you are not cutting all the way through to the top and bottom of your pages.
